/ The US Central Command introduced on Saturday that it had thwarted a large assault with a minimum of 28 drones, launched by the Yemeni Houthi group, over the Crimson Sea.
The command stated in an announcement that Saturday, March 9, witnessed extra clashes between 4 a.m. and eight:20 a.m. (Sanaa time), as American forces and coalition forces have been in a position to shoot down a minimum of 28 drones.
The assertion continued, “No ships belonging to the US Navy or coalition forces have been broken on this assault, and there have been no reviews of any injury from business ships.”
The US Central Command (Centcom) stated in an announcement that the “large-scale” Houthi assault occurred earlier than daybreak, noting that US forces and their allies noticed the drones as “an imminent menace to US business and naval ships and coalition ships within the area.”
In December, the US established a multinational maritime coalition to guard navigation within the Crimson Sea within the face of Houthi assaults that pressured business ships to divert their course and keep away from the ocean lane by which 12 p.c of worldwide commerce passes.
