Statement by the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Daphne Randmade on October 1 at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference, that “the United States continues to address alleged violations of international humanitarian law and human rights in Nagorno-Karabakh” is surprising.

According to Day.Az, this statement was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Aykhan Hajizadeh in his commentary on the statement by the US Assistant Secretary of State made on October 1 at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference.

“It is interesting that, despite the large-scale crimes against humanity committed by Armenia during the military occupation of Azerbaijani territories and the massacres of Azerbaijanis, the American side is only now talking about the importance of eliminating violations of international humanitarian law. The United States has turned a blind eye to the crimes of Armenia for almost 30 years.

If the American side wants to demonstrate impartiality and fairness, it must first demand that the numerous crimes committed by Armenia be investigated and those responsible be held accountable before the law.

Otherwise, this is nothing more than a unilateral statement made as a result of Armenian propaganda, aimed at confusing the international community and diverting attention from the gross violation of fundamental human rights and freedoms of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis during Armenian aggression,” said Aykhan Hajizadeh .
