Throughout 2024 “all necessary steps will be taken” so that the first ELE USAL school in the Middle East opens to the public in Dubai in the first quarter of 2025, followed by the opening of another school in Abu Dhabi in 2026, according to The University reported this Wednesday in a note.

Pakistani businessmen Ramesh Pokhrel and Saroj Prasad Phuyal, together with Joshi Gokarna, current director of ELE USAL Bilbao, will be responsible for launching these two schools.

“This fact reflects the growth and demand for Spanish as a language throughout the world, even in regions where it is not the predominant language, such as the United Arab Emirates,” the University has indicated.

These two institutions will join the franchises that bear the seal of the University of Salamanca in the teaching of Spanish, which currently number 13 in 6 countries and 3 continents.

These schools are in the Spanish cities of Alicante, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Gran Canaria and Estepona; in Beijing, Hinggan League and Chengdu (China), Belo Horizonte and Cuiabá (Brazil), Strasbourg (France), Lisbon (Portugal) and Turin (Italy).

The franchise system of the Spanish Language Schools of the University of Salamanca has its own methodology and teaching manuals created by the Department of Spanish Language and Literature of the University of Salamanca.
