Talents from Serbia, Spain and North Macedonia will compete with our representatives from Slavia
For the seventh time, the already traditional “Vanya Voinova” Cup tournament brings together representatives of elite schools in European basketball in our country.
The competition was initiated by the idea of ”Sofia – the European capital of sports”, BF Basketball and BC “Slavia” in memory of one of the greatest and charming sportswomen in the history of Bulgaria.
Every spring, this tournament is an excellent opportunity for our young girls’ talents to compete with their peers from the leading European countries. This year, representatives of several very strong countries in basketball are arriving in Sofia, and among the participants will be the teams of Mondo Basket (Serbia), Fuenlabrada (Spain) and Sport team Negotino (North Macedonia).
Together with the hosts from Slavia, they will form a foursome according to the one-on-one system and after all the matches are played, the first two teams go to the final, the others play for the bronze.
Meetings are from Friday to Sunday in the capital’s “Triaditsa” hall with entrance
free, the first match is on Friday at 17.00 between Sport team Negotino and Mondo Basket, immediately after that at 18.30 is the ceremonial opening, followed by the match Slavia – Fuenlabrada at 19.00.
