He has been back on French soil for only a few hours, after spending almost a month and a half in Nepal to climb Everest. But Maxime Sorel, a 36-year-old Breton, lends himself with pleasure to the game of the interview, delighted to tell, despite the exhaustion, his extraordinary adventure at 8,848 m high. After facing the immensity of the ocean, notably finishing 10th in the last Vendée Globe, the navigator discovered another immensity, the one that can be seen from the highest peak in the world. He recounts a grueling but fantastic human expedition, which as amazing as it is, is not so different from his adventures at sea.
