The Vice President Asks Menpora Dito Ariotedjo to Optimize Youth Organizations

Deputy President Ma’ruf Amin ordered the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo to improve the workings of youth organizations, such as youth organizations. This step needs to be carried out by the role of youth organizations to have a bigger role in the community.

“The importance of functioning includes youth groups and so on. I think it needs to be optimized,” said Ma’ruf during a working visit to Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday (4/4).

The Deputy Head of State also wants Dito to be able to continue the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) program. He is sure, if executed properly, the program will be able to produce many outstanding athletes.

Ma’ruf is also waiting for a new breakthrough from the youngest minister in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. He believes that with his youth spirit, Dito is able to bring the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) in a better direction.

“Of course it is hoped that the breakthrough will be more visible, stronger, bigger, because of course the younger ones are usually more enthusiastic, have more passion,” he explained.

Previously, after inaugurating Dito as Menpora at the State Palace, President Joko Widodo instructed three tasks. One of them, Jokowi wants Indonesia to win in the Sea Games and Asian Games.

“We are prioritizing sports (sports) that have medal potential. So we have to be efficient but we get good medal results,” said Dito when met at the Presidential Palace Complex. (Z-11)
