During 9 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-December 20, 2024), Iranian products were exported mainly to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan through the customs of Gulistan province, located in northeastern Iran.
As Day.Az reports, this was stated to local media by the Director General of the Customs Department of the Iranian province of Gulistan, Shahriyar Shahriyari.
According to him, in 9 months, non-oil products worth $113 million were exported to Turkmenistan through the customs of Gulistan province and about $102 million were exported to Kazakhstan.
Shahriyari added that over 9 months, about 514 thousand tons of non-oil products worth $334 million were exported through the customs of Gulistan province.
He noted that products were exported to a total of 28 countries, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and other countries. Mainly iodine, cheese, pistachios, hazelnuts, polystyrene, polyethylene, wire, fish food, etc. were exported through provincial customs.
According to Shahriyari, 42.7 thousand tons of iodine worth $23.6 million, 17.4 thousand tons of cheese worth $20.5 million and 976 tons of pistachios worth $8.53 million were exported.
Let us add that in the Iranian province of Gulistan there are more than 650 industrial enterprises in 23 industrial parks.
