The fire broke out in the open warehouse of a recycling factory in Sarıhamzalı District of central Seyhan district at around 22:30. Pressed plastic waste in the warehouse caught fire for an unknown reason. The flames quickly engulfed all the waste plastic in the warehouse. Firefighters, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the people around. Firefighters intervened in the flames that illuminated the darkness of the night with sparkling water. Working with 4 water sprinklers and 5 tankers, the teams extinguished the flames in about an hour. Expert firefighters will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the fire after the cooling operation.
