As the country is flooded with sun and heat, climatologists are warning of less pleasant weather to come. Vilnius University (VU) associate professor Gintautas Stankūnavičius predicts that the heat will not leave Lithuania for at least another 2-3 days, according to the VU Department of Hydrology and Climatology Facebook account. The first influx of cool air will reach the Baltic States on Wednesday. Not only that, the flowering of plants has accelerated, so residents who are sensitive to pollen can check the concentration of plant pollen in the air.
