(APA) – Since the beginning of October, violent clashes have been observed in the east of the DRC, which pit young people from the Wazalendo self-defense group against the M23 rebels. Since the start of these clashes, this group of young Wazalendo resistance fighters has already managed to recover several cities and villages occupied by the M23, like the city of Kitshanga, the Kausa villages near Kilolirwe, and Nyamitaba, two entities of the Bashali Kaembe group in the territory of Masisi. This evening, in a video published by our colleagues from TV5MONDE, the Wazalendo claim to have taken complete control of the territory of Masisi, in North Kivu.
