The instrument of the murder of three girls in the Orenburg region was a knife found at the scene of the crime: multiple stab wounds were found on the bodies of the victims. This information was confirmed to Kommersant-Volga by Radik Galimov, Senior Assistant to the Head of the ICR Regional Investigative Directorate for Interaction with the Media.
Currently, investigators and criminologists are identifying those involved in the crime. The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region clarified that various versions are being worked out.
Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was opened on the fact of the murder of two or more persons in Gaya (paragraph “a”, part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child in the Orenburg region, Angelica Linkova, reported that the girls arrived in the region from Bashkiria. They were local college students. Earlier, the media, citing the press service of the government of Bashkiria, announced that the relatives of the killed would receive help. Control over the investigation of the crime was taken by the head of the RF IC, Alexander Bastrykin.
