The website for applying for a travel permit has been disabled

The ‘Safe Travel’ website, which allows foreign travelers to travel to Singapore to get vaccinated, was shut down for several hours on Monday (November 22).

As applications for those coming from Malaysia to Singapore started this morning, the website was down.

It is believed that the website was down by noon. It stated that maintenance work was being carried out on the website.

When I visited that website at 3pm, I knew it was working again. However, as more and more people are visiting the website at the same time, those who are unable to apply are advised to try again later.

The Straits Times contacted the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority about this.

The commission responded by saying, “We apologize for the inconvenience. As we seek to normalize the webpage, we seek the understanding of the public, ”he said.

Travel permit applications for short-term visitors from Malaysia and long-term cardholders to Singapore began at 10 a.m. today.

Applications from India and Indonesia start at 6 pm today.

Thus, the number of visitors to the website is expected to increase further.
