The dry weather should come to an end, which resulted last week in the city of São Paulo having the lowest percentage of relative humidity among the capital cities of Brazil. Changes are promised to come next Monday (29) when a cold start sweeps through the south-east region. It should be raining again after almost 20 days.
According to Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology), there is a forecast of isolated rain on Monday night, starting the change in the weather, causing the temperature to drop and causing heavy rain throughout Tuesday (30) .
This cold front that goes from the South towards the Southeast, Climatempo, explains the end of the atmospheric barrier that prevented rain from reaching the region. Wind gusts are also expected to increase, the agency says.
This Monday evening will still be warm in the city of São Paulo, with the possibility of reaching the highest temperature of the month. According to Inmet, the trend is to vary between 13ºC and 30ºC — the highest mark in July was 27.6°C, on the 22nd.
“From the end of the evening, the cloudiness increases significantly due to the approach of the cold front, which may cause drizzle during the night”, says the CGE (Emergency Management Center), from the City of São Paulo.
On Tuesday, with the sky closed and rain, the temperatures and thermometers are expected to vary between 11ºC and 18ºC, with moderate gusts of wind.
“The rain should be more widespread in the coastal stretch of the state, including the metropolitan region of São Paulo”, says the CGE.
On Wednesday (31), the maximum in the city of São Paulo will not exceed 16°C. On this day, however, the rain should ease. On Tuesday (31), the forecast is for a sky with few clouds, sun and a thermometer around 24°C.

On the coast of São Paulo, Inmet says the trend is for isolated rain on Monday night. The instability continues until Wednesday, but with higher temperatures than in Greater São Paulo – on Tuesday, for example, the maximum is expected to be 21 ° C in Santos, in Baixada Santista.
Climatempo warns, however, that there is a possibility of a hangover at sea, between Ilhabela, on the north coast, and Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), with waves of up to 2.5 meters for this past Monday.
