The draw for the fifth West Asian Federation U-23 Championship, hosted by the Saudi Federation in the city of Al-Ahsa from March 20 to 26, 2024, placed our youth team in the fourth group against the Australian national team.
During the draw, the teams were distributed among four groups, with two teams in each group, facing each other in one match in the first round, then the winner of them moves to the semi-finals, and after that the two winners qualify for the final match, with the two losers meeting to determine the third and fourth places, and in addition In addition, two matches will be held, one to determine the fifth and sixth places, and the other for seventh and eighth.
The tournament includes the participation of the teams of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq and the Emirates, in addition to the teams of South Korea, Thailand, Australia and Egypt, who were invited as guests and in response to a special invitation from the West Asian Federation for them to participate in this edition.
