I hope that this constitution will be changed and the old one will return, the ITN leader wrote on social networks
I consider the whole story surrounding Kalin Stoyanov a farce.
Slavi Trifonov, the leader of “There is such a people”, wrote this on Facebook, hours after Dimitar Glavchev was given the opportunity to arrange a cabinet for the second time. And his new mandate as acting prime minister came about after the nominee for the post, Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva, decided to leave Kalin Stoyanov as interior minister, which is why President Rumen Radev refused to sign the decree appointing her cabinet.
Handing over the mandate to Glavchev, today the head of state recommended him to appoint such a cabinet that would disprove suspicions of political interference and ensure fair and transparent elections.
“Everyone has focused on whether Kalin Stoyanov will be proposed to the next cabinet, but a distinction must be made between an occasion and a reason. Kalin Stoyanov is an occasion. The reason is the ridiculous Constitution, which, I will not tire of repeating, is the offspring of their fathers – Hristo Ivanov, Kiril Petkov, Asen Vasilev, Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski,” Trifonov wrote on social networks.
“Whatever the name of the next Minister of Internal Affairs, he will once again be at the service of one of his fathers. And the fathers, let me say once again, are Hristo Ivanov, Kiril Petkov, Asen Vasilev, Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski. They are those who made this Constitution look like they could most brazenly take advantage of it, individually or collectively. So, I think the whole story around Kalin Stoyanov is a farce,” the ITN leader continues.
“Elections should be held as quickly as possible in order to stabilize the state of the country and, if possible, I hope that this Constitution will be changed and the old one returned,” Trifonov concludes in his post.
