For the 7th year, the Republican Subject Olympiads are held with the support of the country’s first bank, Kapital Bank, and the organization of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The award ceremony for the winners of the Olympiads of the 2023-2024 academic year was held the day before. At the ceremony, diplomas and awards were presented to 8 gold medalists who showed the highest results in the Republican Subject Olympiads, as well as to all the winners.
Let us recall that more than 62 thousand students registered to participate in the Olympiad this academic year. The competition was organized among schoolchildren of grades 8-11, in 8 subjects, in 143 centers. Students tested their knowledge of the Azerbaijani language and literature, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, history and geography in 3 rounds. 10,997 students received the right to participate in the semi-final stage. Of the almost 1,000 participants who reached the final stage, 491 people became winners. Of these, 244 people won bronze medals, 163 silver medals and 84 gold medals.
