To the 21/2022 tender for the lease of 4 plots for light industry and crafts in E.T. “Shaked” in Ofakim was submitted 80 suggestions.
The winners of the tender are Noam Amar, T. Tair Building Materials Ltd., SAI Entrepreneurship and Investments Ltd., Victor Tshuva, Shlomi Ben David and Yair Tshuva.
Almond Is an industrial, employment and commercial area in the area of Ofakim, which covers an area of 708,000 square meters and includes areas for industry, commerce, public buildings and green public areas.
The park was designed as a smart industrial area with a fiber-optic network, smart camera infrastructure and a control center over its entire area as well as natural gas infrastructure that will serve as a green energy source for electricity generation in addition to heating and cooling uses.
This is the fourth tender that was successfully marketed as part of the Shaked Industrial Area project, which is being led by the Israel Land Authority together with the Ofakim Municipality, after more than 100 bids were submitted for previous tenders.
The industrial area is located between the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood and the Park neighborhood and borders Kibbutz Hatzerim. The great advantage of the Shaked industrial zone is its strategic location near major transportation routes, with Be’er Sheva being a 12-minute drive from it, a 20-minute drive from Highway 6 and less than an hour to the port of Ashdod.
Itzik Danino, Mayor of Ofakim: “After the incredible success in the marketing of 107 plots, for which about 1300 bids were submitted, 80 bids were submitted for the last 4 plots in favor of plots for industry. Demand for the industrial areas in Ofakim is among the highest in the country. The Ofakim industrial area is networked with natural gas and is in a great location in the western Negev region, a combination that gives the city a great advantage, along with being Development Area A. All of these create significant employment and industrial complexes in the city. ”
