Farooq asks Anika to delete the defamatory messages and apologize, but she reportedly refuses. Subsequently, Farooq lodged a complaint against him with the Cyber ​​Crime Division of the Central Intelligence Agency. A case was pending in this regard.

The court has sentenced Anika to death for sending defamatory caricatures of the Prophet to her friend on WhatsApp.

The verdict was handed down by a court in Rawalpindi in 2020 on a complaint filed by Farooq Hassan. Anika Attic was charged in the case with slandering the Prophet, insulting Islam and violating cybercrime laws.
