Our women’s national futsal team continues its training camp in the Moroccan city of Casablanca, which continues until the fourth of next December, in preparation for the Asian Cup qualifiers in Thailand.
The media coordinator for the Iraqi women’s futsal team, Fatima Qasim, told the (INA) that “the women’s team continues its training camp held in Morocco in preparation for the upcoming Asian qualifiers that will be held in Thailand.”
She added, “The Iraqi group in the Asian Championship includes the teams of Thailand, Palestine, Lebanon, and Bahrain,” noting that “the team’s lineup includes three expatriate players, and they are (Helen Shawn Tawfiq, Solen Abdullah Saadi from Sweden, and Nashtman Khalil Ibrahim from Germany).”
She explained that “there will be two friendly matches during the training camp, the first of which will be with the Moroccan national team,” noting that “the morale of the players is very high with a new training staff led by the Portuguese coach (Vieira Bettencourt), who speaks with full confidence and her ambition is to achieve first place.”
She explained that ”the tournament divides the participating teams into four groups, from each group two teams are nominated, in addition to the best third, to the next round.”
