In other words, female cricketers will now be paid the same salary as men’s cricketers.
This announcement is for the first time in the history of cricket. Accordingly, the male and female cricketers have signed a five-year equal pay agreement.
“It is great to see both international and domestic women players recognized under the same contract as men. It’s a big step forward,’ said New Zealand Women’s captain Sophie Devine.
It is also reported that the new change will increase the contract number of domestic women players from 54 to 72. Also, many players are praising this decision.
