A concert of the Baku Chamber Orchestra took place on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev, Day.Az reports.

The orchestra performed under the direction of the famous conductor, violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky (Great Britain). The soloists of the concert were People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Murad Adigozalzade (piano) and Dmitry Sitkovetsky (violin).

The audience was presented with “Dance Suite” No. 1 by Johann Sebastian Bach (arranged by D. Sitkovetsky), “Nigun” from the “Baal Shem” cycle by Ernest Bloch, a concert for violin, piano and strings by Joseph Haydn and “Musical Letters” – a suite for organ , piano, string quartet and choir by Felix Mendelssohn (arranged by D. Sitkovetsky).

The concert program was received with great interest by the public. The musicians played subtly, soulfully touching the hearts of every listener. The audience thanked the soloists and orchestra with deafening applause for the wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of classical music.

It should be noted that the artistic director of the Baku Chamber Orchestra is People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor Farhad Badalbeyli, the director is People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Yegana Akhundova, and the chief conductor is Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov.
