Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has decided to declare the word ‘lockdown’ a banned word.
He stated this at a press conference held in Colombo this morning (15).
He further said,
He never dreamed that the Govt virus would infect the country like this.
He also pointed out that in the midst of the virus epidemic, the Minister of Health had decided to make the word lockdown a banned word.
He also pointed out that it is a very easy thing for everyone to say that the country should be paralyzed. He noted that despite the country’s paralysis, the salaries of civil servants have not been reduced by a single rupee.
He noted that at a time when the world community is facing such a situation, it is moving forward with its actions in the face of accusations leveled against it.
