iPhone Dual Port (Macworld)

A Korean engineer succeeded in introducing some special modifications to his iPhone, making it the first in the world to have two ports together, namely “USB-C” and “Lightning”.

It is rumored that Apple is working on an iPhone equipped with a USB-C port this year, instead of the company’s current Lightning-type traditional port, in a move to comply with the new European regulations, which will force phone manufacturers to adopt a USB-C port only.
But this engineer preceded the American technology giant, and succeeded in creating a dual-port iPhone and called it “TwinPort iPhone”, using the “iPhone 12 mini” phone by adding another port to the phone, to be compatible with the modern “USB-C” standard.
Thus, this engineer can simply perform two functions at the same time, such as listening to music via a wired speaker, while charging the phone.

Entitled “iPhone USB-C TwinPort,” the Korean video explained the steps for adding a “USB-C” port to be side by side next to the “Lightning” port, by opening the chassis and removing some components, according to the Macworld website.
Apple has so far avoided adding a “USB-C” port to its iPhones for years, despite supporting all MacBooks and iPad Pro devices with a USB-C port, so the iPhone remains the only Apple device that rejects this idea.
By a majority of votes, the European Union countries approved the adoption of a unified port for mobile phones and other devices, last April, by 2024, to save money on consumers.
For this, Apple must comply with the European Union, but it said that the European law would harm its ability to innovate, and cause mountains of e-waste to be piled up.
