This is the cry of alarm from pharmaceutical laboratories established in France. They see it as proof of the loss of momentum of our health industries and of our health dependence. And a risk of seeing drug shortages – which hitherto mainly concerned old products – worsen in the future.

The finding is striking. Of the new drugs having obtained authorization between 2017 and 2022, only 48 are produced on French territory, against 122 in Germany, details the study by the Roland Berger firm commissioned by Leem, which federates drug companies.
