The worst decline in the Indian rupee in 2022!

The Indian rupee has come second in the list of worst performing Asian currencies in 2022.

At the end of December 2021, the value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar was Rs 74.33.

It is trading at 82 rupees 72 paisa, down 11.3 percent in a year. The Japanese yen fell as much as 12 percent.

This is the biggest depreciation of the Indian rupee since 2013, the data said.

At the same time, the US dollar gained its biggest gain in 2015.

Following the appreciation of the Indian rupee, currencies such as China’s yuan, Indonesian rupiah, Philippine peso, South Korea’s won, Malaysia’s rickett, and Thai baht have seen a decline against the US dollar.

Only the Singapore dollar traded slightly higher against the US dollar.
