Ada d’Adamo wins the 2023 Strega Prize with the autobiographical book ‘Come D’Aria’ (Elliot), which wins 185 votes. The proclamation took place at the Nymphaeum of Villa Giulia in Rome. ‘Come d’aria’ had already won the Strega Off 2023 Prize, voted for by strong readers, collaborators of publishing houses, cultural operators, translators, editors and literary magazines.
Ada D’Adamo, new author, died at the age of 55 on April 1, two days after entering the Dozen of the Strega. ‘Come d’aria’ is a book that delves into the reader’s heart, says Elena Stancanelli, who presented the book at the Prize.
