The Hotel Sant Roc de Calella de Palafrugell hosted this Wednesday the handing over of the Scholarship and aid Chiquet Sabaterwhich grants the Union of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Costa Brava Centre with the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Girona.
In the 27th edition of the Xiquet Sabater Scholarship, the members of the panel have decided to award 1,000 euros to Lavinia Iuliana Aldea and another 1,000 euros to Clara Herraiz Prat, who they will be used to finance part of their master’s studiesr.
Lavinia Iuliana presented her project “Emotions and the tourism sector” to the court and will use the prize to finance part of the Master’s in Digital Management of International Tourism Businesses at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. At the same time, Clara Herraiz, thanks to the “Strategic Plan of Vallès Oriental” work, will be able to count on the amount of the scholarship towards the Master’s studies in Tourism Management and Planning at the University of Girona.
In addition, this year the Ajut Xiquet Sabater has been awarded, a scholarship intended for students of higher education courses in the hotel and tourism professional family. Anna Puixeu Palou, student of the Higher Degree Training Course in Kitchen Management at the Girona School of Hospitality and Tourism, has received €500 for her work “Abbatissa, business plan for a new establishment in the Ripollès region ».
