Fourteenth edition of the PAD Awards that delivers the Andalusian Association of Dance Companies and Professionals, with the aim of highlighting the people who struggle in this discipline of the performing arts. Congratulations to all the nominated people and especially to our dear and admired Anna Paris who received the Honor Award.
The gala held at the Theater of The Seville Foundrywas led by Papópolisa duo formed by the actress Lola Hernandez and the stage creator, writer and director Maria Cazenavewho awarded as a prize a ceramic piece in the shape of a drop that symbolizes the sweat and tears so present in dance. Designed by the plastic artist and dancer Helena Marant.
The jury of this edition made up of Carlos Fortezamanager and cultural programmer (former director of the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville and the Teatro Principal in Palma); Teresa Navarretedancer and choreographer; Virginia Rotaphotographer; Fernando Lima y Alysson Maiadirectors of Eléctrica Cultura and Darwin Firstfrom Escénica en Movimiento (Concepción, Chile), was accompanied in the front row by Maria Jose Villar president of the PAD, José Lucas Chaves SGAE Andalucía, Casimiro Fernandezprovincial deputy of Culture and Violeta Hernandezbrand new director of the Andalusian Institute of Performing Arts and Music.
For me it has been a very special gala, since it was my first as president. From the association we are very happy that every year there is more participation and that these awards are recognized and valued inside and outside Andalusia. The high quality of the proposals is evident, putting Andalusian dance in a prestigious place.

AWARD OF HONOR
Anna Paris Ferrando has a PhD in Sociology, in 2012 she launched the Casquería Collective. He has led nine editions of Creation Train Circulates, a project that has allowed the mobility of Dance professionals throughout the national territory. It is the soul of Dance Professionals Conference that during the last two years have been held in the Cádiz Dance Festival. She is the representative of Andalusia in Dance Tthe Network of Dance Workers and the researcher who has the most knowledge about professional transitions, having promoted TransitDance and the International Conference for the Professional Transition of Male and Female Dancers. In short, their work and commitment to improving the conditions of their colleagues deserve recognition for the organization with this Honor Award.
