Bengaluru: A woman killed her husband to take revenge for beating her. The incident took place near Yelahanka in Karnataka. Chandrasekhar (33), a resident of Kondappa Layout, was killed. According to the Karnataka Police, the murder was in retaliation for Chandrashekhar’s wife Shweta Cherupuri beating up a group of assailants who had harassed her. The incident happened on Friday.

Chandrashekhar was killed while standing on the terrace of his house by assailants from Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh. The murdered Chandrasekhar and his wife moved to Bengaluru six months ago from Pedihatti village in Hindupur. They got married three years ago. Shweta had lodged a complaint with the police against the group that harassed her.

After settling the issue between the woman and the gang at the police station, the police asked the woman to hit the assailants with her shoes. According to this, the woman hit Cherupuri. After this the couple moved to Bangalore. Police have started further investigation into the murder.
