The Rishon Lezion Book Festival is back in full force. During the month of June, the Municipality of Rishon Lezion and the municipal society prepare for reading enthusiasts a variety of activities and shows for the whole family with the traditional book fair on Rothschild Pedestrian Street, children’s plays, performances at the Hall of Culture and more.

The Rishon Lezion Book Festival will take place on Rothschild Pedestrian Street and this year will mark classics of all time – favorite books, moving stories, beautiful legends and characters we all love.
You will meet the magician from the Land of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Itamar climbing walls, the Hungry Caterpillar and other creative workshops, klezmers and surprising artistic breakthroughs… All of these and many others will come to life and await you on the sidewalk. And of course enjoy a huge book fair in collaboration with Steimatzky.

A magical musical show with the wonderful songs we grew up on. Between songs, we will learn about the instruments, how to play together and create harmony, we will laugh, we will meet the Ruhama doll. And of course – we will not stop singing together! An adaptation of Margaret Ray’s well-known children’s book about the love story of a pair of dogs – pretzels and gold. The play combines original musical arrangements to the tunes of the great composers and performers.
18:15 – Itamar and the magic hat
A musical performance following the book by David Grossman. Itamar will soon have a little brother. Dad and Itamar arrange the room for the arrival of the new brother and suddenly find a magic hat in the toy box. What magic will the hat do? A musical show, funny and magical. Orna Porat Theater.
19:00 – Dancing legends
Rhythmic and energetic dance theater for the whole family. Two dancers in a colorful and educational show for children based on classic stories: Pinocchio, Cinderella, an apartment for rent and more. The show brings viewers together with the world of music and dance and combines colorful music, costumes and masks from the Treasure Theater.

An original play written in rhymes and based on the children’s poet and author Leah Goldberg. Musical production, spectacular puppets and sweeping acting.
18:15 – Peter Pan in the country never
Tinkerbell sends Peter Pan to look for a hint from Wendy, on the way he meets Captain Hawk, his own shadow and a strange creature that help him get to the big hint! A musical show that shows us that everything can be overcome with the help of the love of theater at sea in Boom Boom.

Nelly the ant is diligent and economical, as every year hoards food and prepares for winter. One day she moves in with her birth – a lazy and cheerful cricket named Spring. Tells stories of a bead lover and a pantomime lover who is silent, revealing to the children all the secrets behind the pantomime. How from nothing we become everything.
