/ The coach of the Iraqi youth team, Imad Mohammed, revealed on Saturday that the Iraqi youth team will travel on the 20th of this month to Turkey to stay in a training camp in preparation for the upcoming international events.
Mohammed told Agency, “The Iraqi national team under 20 years will camp in the Turkish city of Antalya, taking advantage of the suspension of the Premier League and FIFA.
He added that the team will play three friendly matches during its training camp in order for the players to adapt and integrate in a gathering that will bring together local and professional players.
He explained that the Iraqi national team under 20 years will play three friendly matches against the Ukrainian youth club Shakhtar Donetsk, as well as its Jordanian and Kyrgyz counterparts.
It is worth noting that the Iraqi U-20 team participated in the World Youth Championship last year, but was unable to reach the second stage after losing its first and second matches, against Uruguay by four clean goals, Tunisia by three goals without a response, and drawing in the third with England 0-0.
