Anuj Sharma hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He was 35 years old. He was living under the care of his great-grandmother Saroj Sharma, but on December 11, he lodged a missing complaint with the police.
Based on that, the facts were exposed in the investigation conducted by the police. Anuj’s grandfather passed away in 1995. Periyamma Saroj has been living with Anuj Sharma’s family since then. While Saroj has a son, she lives abroad. Two of Saroj’s daughters are married and live with their husbands. As such, only Anuj, his father and grandmother Saroj have been living together.
Anuj’s mother also passed away last year. Since then, only Anuj and Periyamma have lived in the house. Anuj’s expenses and living needs have been taken care of by his grandmother. Anuj, a BTech graduate, has been involved in the Hare Krishna movement for many years. While he told Periyamma that he should move to Delhi, Periyamma Saroj did not accept it. On December 11, Anuj killed his grandmother by beating her with a hammer in an argument related to this.
Then he cut the body into several pieces in the bathroom of the house, took it in a suitcase and threw it in the nearby forest area and highway. After doing all this, when Anuj filed a complaint that Periyamma was missing, the police started monitoring his activities. Also, his cousin saw Anuj cleaning the blood stains in the kitchen of his house.

Immediately the relative informed the police about Anuj. The policemen who subsequently arrested Anuj took the truth from him as a confession.
