Theater artist Jayaraj Karumarat passed away

Kannur: (www.kvartha.com) Jayaraj Kanumarathy (61) who was an active presence in drama-serials and commercial films, who lives near Kavinmula Ancharakandi Higher Secondary School, at his home in Puthiyathath Chalil, has passed away.

He is a native of Chitariparam. Active in local theater troupes, Jayaraj Koothuparam played notable roles in CKG Theatres’ Vellari Natak, 8Hal Crimes, professional plays Katha Panna Yamuna, Inisakshi Vistaram and Garuda Mantram among others. He has scripted and acted in many commercial films centered around Ernakulam.

Wife: PK Shaimalatha (CHC, Iriveri). Daughter: Nandana S Jayaraj. Siblings: Vatsaraj (Retd. Cooperative Dept., Chithariparam) and Lasitha (Kannur).
