For lovers of Cuban stage performances, the news arrived that this year, Covid-19 involved, the new edition of the Havana Theater Festival will be held.
It is expected that it can be in person, although the online option is valued, but since hope is the last thing to be lost, the view is that by October 2021, the coronavirus issue will have been resolved, so It would be possible to hold the festival in all its splendor and fill the theater halls to capacity.

Until now, the proposed date is between October 23 and 31, and as it is close to the celebrations of the half millennium of the city of Havana, the edition will host multiple artistic languages and trends that make up the current state of Cuban theatrical art. .
A program has not been provided, due to the early date of the event, but exhibitions, workshops and forums for theoretical reflection on theatricality, as well as foreign guests, are expected.
May 27 is the deadline to submit proposals to participate, which, both nationally and internationally, will be selected by a curatorial committee made up of specialists and personalities from that artistic field of the Cuban scene, with a final decision.

The organizers emphasize that due to financial limitations they cannot afford to finance international trips, nor pay fees to participants, so they suggest preferential accommodation options through the Paradiso tour operator agency.
Furthermore, the issue of financing for the festival remains in suspense, due to the monetary restructurings born as a result of monetary unification in Cuba.
