Imagine characters straight out of Monty Python (in its cult version, but just as fun) who land with camp delusions and retrofuturists in an open-air quarry on the outskirts of Avignon. It is in this apparently chaotic configuration that French director Philippe Quesne and his company Vivarium Studio manage to teleport the audience to a strange future with a taste of déjà vu, but which projects – with humor and a certain elegance – the audience’s gaze into new poetic landscapes.
