Theatro Gil Vicente until the end of the year with 25 shows

The end of the year is approaching and the schedule for the last two months brings a lot of news and a great series of shows. Sara Correia, Salvador Martinha and Gisela João are some of the biggest names on the schedule of Theatro Gil Vicente for November and December.
The schedule of the show will begin, on November 2, with a show by the fado singer Sara Correia, with the presentation of her third album “Liberdade”, at Universal Music Portugal. The ticket costs €12.50.
The music continues on the 7th, at 10pm, with Camille Emaille’s show, as part of the Ciclo Jazz ao Largo. On the 9th and 22nd, the tricycle is back at the TGV. On the 9th, with the Education Service – “Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance (reimagined)” and on the 22nd he welcomes the Canadian composer Eric Chenaux.
The opera also takes place on the 16th, at 9:30 pm, with the show “Maria de Buenos Aires Revisitada”, a tango opera by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer, from Ópera Norte / Associação Portuguesa de Flutes.
Stand up and Cinema
On the 5th and 6th, at 9:30 pm, comedian Salvador Martinha presents the comedy show “Aura Super Jovem”. After a few seasons working as an actor, Salvador Martinha returns to stand up, to tell us what he has been doing for the last 5 years, since his last solo. The session costs R$15.00.
The cinema is also back at Theatro Gil Vicente. On the 12th, at 9:30 pm, with the film “All Beauty and Carnage”, by Laura Poitras”, and on the 19th, it is the turn of “Orlando, My Political Biography”, by Paul B. Preçado.
Theater
The youngest children end the year in the world of fantasy with the play “Hugo” – a Galician show – presented by Os Náufragos Teatro”, on the 3rd, at 4pm. On the 17th, it is time for “Fada Juju” – A Escola dos Sentidos”, by Brain Entertainment, to take the stage. These pieces are part of the “As a family on the TGV” section.
Meanwhile, on the 24th, there is still space for two music sessions for babies (from 3 months to 3 years) with the show “World Rock Bebé” by Caixa de Cena, at 10am and 11:30am. On the same day, but at 11am, there is still space for a workshop dedicated to pregnant women, “Pregnant Women in Accompaniment Movement”, at the Barcelos Dance School.
The last day of the month, November 30, is dedicated to theater, with the play “Unidos na Desunião”, by Teatro Experimental dos Feitos.
In the other arts, between October 31 and November 30, the exhibition “The Vulture in its Habitat”, by Barcelos Senior, will be displayed at the Café-Concerto.
December
Christmas celebrates the December cultural program at Theatro Gil Vicente (TGV). The children’s theater is of particular importance, but cinema and music do not fail to be present.
Highlights for Gisela João, fado singer from Barcelos, who will bring a memorable concert to Theatro Gil Vicente, on the 14th and 15th, at 9:30 pm and 6 pm, with “Gisela Canta Abril”, with Match – Attack.
On the 7th, the tricycle is back with the latest vibe from the city of Barcelos, “Criatura-dança”, which brings together Elisabete Silva on vocals / guitar
electric guitar, Vítor Oliveira, on electric guitar, Pedro Marques, on drums/percussion), Ricardo Carvalho, on keys/chorus and Carolina Alves, on bass/chorus.
Cinema and Theatre
Other arts, other tastes, Cineclube Zoom presents two films at Theatro Gil Vicente: on the 3rd, “Grande Tour”, by Miguel Gomes and, on the 17th, the production of the film “Luz da Manhã + Amor Fati”, by Claudia . Varejao. The sessions take place at 9:30pm and cost R$3.50.
After Christmas, on the 26th, the Shortest Day will be celebrated with the Curtas-Metragens Festival, and “Novas Curtas Portuguesas” will be shown, a selection of films Made in Portugal.
Meanwhile, the theater takes the stage in the Vincentian space with two first premieres: on the 6th, the Christmas play “O Verdadeiro Natal”, by IAESM and, on the 27th, the play “The most beautiful things in World”, by APACI.
Theater for children
Under the heading “As a family on the TGV”, Sunday evening is dedicated to the youngest: on the 8th, at 4 pm, the play “A Carochinha eo João Ratão” is performed, at A Capoeira – Companhia de Teatro de Barcelos ; and on the 22nd “The Magic Christmas Circus”, by Jonatas Cardinali.
After Christmas, on the 29th, there is a theater for babies (from 8 months to 36 months). There are also two sessions, at 10am and 11:30am, of the play “Pisca, Pisca Estrelinha”, by Ponto Produções.
