Chennai: There has been a complaint of theft at the house of director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, daughter of actor Rajinikanth. Gems and gold ornaments worth lakhs were stolen. Aishwarya came to know about the loss of jewelery on 10th February. According to the complaint, diamond sets, uncut diamond, navaratnam set, aram necklace and bangles worth 60 pavan were stolen. Three people who are employees of the house are suspected in connection with the theft.
Aishwarya says that these are the ornaments she bought during her marriage and after attending her sister Soundarya’s wedding in 2019, she kept all these ornaments in her locker at home. They were kept in an apartment on St Mary’s Road. However, on April 9, 2022, this locker was shifted to Rajinikanth’s house in Pius Garden.
The staff knew that the key to the locker was kept in a cupboard in St. Mary’s apartment. Aishwarya herself handed over the names of the suspects to the police. A complaint has been lodged at Theinampet police station. Police registered a case under section 381 on Aishwarya’s complaint.
