The boy who snatched an old man’s bag in broad daylight in Palani has been chased away by the public.
An old man was drinking tea at a tea shop on Palani Road in Dindigul district when a boy snatched the yellow bag from the old man’s hand and ran away. People who saw this from the neighborhood chased the boy away. The boy cried after being trapped by people and said he stole the bag because he was hungry. He also said that if there was fruit in the bag, he ate it and threw the bag away. The people of the area, realizing that he had really stolen for hunger, bought tea for the boy. Then if you are hungry, you can ask and eat, they advised why you stole.
Vikram, a resident of Salem district, was involved in the theft, police said. Earlier it was revealed that there was no case against the boy. Following this, the police bought food for Wickreman and sent him to Salem with money.
