Two cases of stolen jewelry have been reported in Coimbatore, with a total of 60 pounds worth of precious items taken from two different locations.

The first incident involved a retired assistant headmaster, Krishnan, who resides in New Sittaputur, Coimbatore. The 65-year-old had kept 51 pounds of gold, silver, and platinum jewelry in his bureau a few months ago. However, upon returning from a trip to Gotagiri with his wife, he discovered that the jewelry was missing. Krishnan suspects the maid and a young man who had come to repair the AC and has lodged a complaint with the Kattur police. The authorities are currently investigating the case.

The second case involved a woman named Nivetha, 33, from Ratinapuri PM Sami Colony, Coimbatore. She had kept 9 pounds of gold jewelry in her bureau, but it went missing when she opened the bureau the day before yesterday. The Ratnapura police have registered a case and are actively investigating the incident.

With a total of 60 pounds worth of jewelry stolen from the two different locations, the police are working hard to solve these cases and apprehend the culprits responsible for the thefts. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
