In major European capitals, owners of more expensive crossovers squealed from mass thefts of side mirror glass. Owners of Porsches, Mercedes and Beemwa are forced to protect the exterior mirrors from encroachment by placing specially made bags on them.
Theft of exterior mirrors is certainly nothing new, but now the Apaches are only removing the seat. The phenomenon was captured by a Dutch photographer in Amsterdam a few days ago, where dozens of premium models are wearing special Kevlar “socks” on a street.
The locking of the exterior mirrors is carried out by strong Kevlar bags manufactured by the Prokelock brand, containing a steel cable and a lock. The invention prevents thieves from stealing the mirror glass.
The glasses themselves are easily removed in a few seconds and cost about 100 euros on Ebay. The platform offers a staggering number of glass for exterior mirrors from all brands. The protective Kevlar bag is priced at 150 euros.
