Themed meeting on Parkinson’s disease in Henricushof

The Village Cooperative Lierop Leeft will hold a theme meeting about Parkinson’s disease on Wednesday 9 November in De Huiskamer in Henricushof in Lierop.

Parkinson’s disease is a complex disease that originates in the brain. In Parkinson’s, the brain controls muscle movements less and less well, which leads to problems with movement. For example, one can become slower and suffer from stiff muscles and trembling hands. The disease can affect anyone, man, woman, young and old.

Carin van der Meij, Parkinson’s nurse and working at Buurtzorg, will elaborate on this disease by means of a presentation. There is also the opportunity to ask questions and to exchange experiences.
