“Then go for a vaccination!” – 150 brands change slogans for vaccination campaigns
This advertising can hardly be avoided: Over 150 large companies and brands have joined forces in a joint campaign to use their slogans to advertise a vaccination against the coronavirus. Both Dax companies and family businesses are included.
Vfrom AOK to Deutsche Bank, Kaufland and Porsche to ZF Friedrichshafen: Over 150 large and well-known companies and brands are calling for vaccinations with a joint campaign. From Tuesday they want to advertise immunization on their social media channels and are redesigning their slogans for it.
The new slogans are often close to the original – and therefore particularly memorable: “Joy in vaccinating” (BMW), “We love vaccinating” (Edeka), “Then go for vaccination” (Netto), “It is worth vaccinating” ( Lidl) or “Vaccination – What else?” (Nespresso) are just a few of the examples. Other companies involved include the savings banks and Volksbanken, the burger chains McDonald’s and Burger King or the food companies Rügenwalder Mühle, Katjes and Ritter Sport. The campaign’s media partner is “Bild” (like WELT, it belongs to Axel Springer SE).
“Brands have influence and reach. So why not use both for the message that our own vaccination is the best way out of the pandemic for all of us, “says Sven Dörrenbächer, partner of the Berlin advertising agency Antoni, who came up with the campaign, according to a statement. If possible, other companies should join the campaign.
The headline of the campaign is #ZogeGegenCorona, also used by the federal government. The companies should use this hashtag to advertise the vaccination on their social media channels with their own slogans.
According to the announcement, the designated Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz described the campaign as “an outstanding symbol of social responsibility and initiative”. “It is crucial that as many citizens as possible get vaccinated. Then the virus can spread less widely, ”said Scholz. “My appeal to everyone: Please get vaccinated!”
