“629 are the first graders in Dobrich in the 2024/2025 school year. Compared to last year, when their number was 605, a small increase is reported. All educational institutions received textbooks and study aids on time, said Deputy Mayor “Humanitarian Activities” Vladimir Trendafilov.
In the majority of educational institutions in Dobrich, repair works were carried out during the summer months. Classrooms, corridors, sports fields and other parts of the school grounds have been renovated and refreshed. The new school year was opened in 11 kindergartens in Dobrich. The children entering the first group are 452, and the total number of all students in the kindergartens is 2063. They are divided into 84 groups. Last year, the number of children in kindergartens was 2,045. Renovation works were carried out in all kindergartens, which included the replacement of air conditioners, cosmetic repairs to the building fund, and others. Repairs are still ongoing in the kindergartens with numbers 23 and 32, but they will be finished by the end of this year, the deputy mayor added.

Conditions have been created everywhere for a full-day organization of the educational process, and the requested textbooks and teaching aids have been delivered in a timely manner. There is provision of the necessary pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff and free transport is provided for all traveling students and children. The educational institutions have cleaned and refreshed classrooms, sanitary and service rooms, school yards and adjacent areas. The serviceability of equipment, appliances and climbing frames, as well as the playgrounds and sports grounds, was checked. In the new school year, there are 820 students and 591 children in the 13 schools (10 primary, 2 unified and one secondary) and the 30 kindergartens. 9 school territory of the municipality of Dobrichka have approved projects for creating a STEM environment under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability. These are the schools in the villages of Karapelit, Stozher, Batovo, Lovchantsi, Hitovo, Zhitnitsa, Stefanovo, Smolnitsa, Pobeda, Bojurovo.
In 17 kindergartens, the furniture was replaced with new beds, children’s wardrobes, didactic cabinets, dining tables. The beginning of the school year begins for 32 children in the new building of the “First of June” kindergarten in the village of Branishte.
