Winning and losing in the election is a different matter but there is a 14-party alliance led by Awami League and the party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that she will hold a meeting with the alliance partners soon.

He said this in response to a question from reporters at a press conference to share his experience of his visit to Thailand at his official residence Ganabhaban on Thursday (May 2).

“After the 12th national election, no action of the 14-party alliance is visible, even many say that there will be no 14 parties,” Sheikh Hasina said, “There are definitely 14 parties.” Why not? We are always in touch with them. It is not that there is no communication. Now I don’t know what two or four people are saying sporadically. Our coordinator, Mr. Amir Hossain Amu Saheb, has been entrusted with the responsibility of the party. He keeps in touch.

Sheikh Hasina said that she will hold a meeting with the alliance partners soon. I have had an executive meeting, I will have a meeting with our advisers. I will also sit with 14 teams. Besides, I am in touch with many of them myself. The general secretary of our party keeps in touch with everyone. There is contact with the one who is the coordinator.

“In the election, many of the 14 parties gave candidates and got elected. And winning or not winning elections is a different matter, but we will have this alliance. I can say this, who said that the alliance is over?’

President Sheikh Hasina has announced preparations to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Awami League. He said, we will celebrate our seventy-fifth year in a big way. We are discussing there, we will review the world situation, we will see which countries we can invite or who can come, that is also in our discussion.

We are also taking a program in that regard. We are making various subcommittees. More beautifully so that we can do it all. Because our team is a big team in the subcontinent, which is celebrating seventy-five, it is no small matter.’
