jpnn.com – SEMARANG – There are three regions in Central Java (Jateng) where in the 2024 Pilkada there will only be one pair of regional head – deputy regional head candidates.
It is known that the registration of prospective candidate pairs who will compete in the 2024 Pilkada has taken place from 27 to 29 August 2024.
The Central Java KPU noted that there were three regions that only accepted registration of one prospective candidate pair, namely Sukoharjo, Brebes, and Banyumas Regencies.
For the three regions that experienced single candidate cases, the KPU extended the registration period by three days.
Still related to the 2024 Pilkada, the Central Java Bawaslu has been involved in the supervision process during the registration of prospective candidate pairs.
Bawaslu Central Java is investigating allegations of non-neutrality by village heads (kades) and state civil servants (ASN) who were seen present during the registration momentum for prospective regional head candidates in various regions on 27 to 29 August 2024.
“Bawaslu in a number of districts/cities have received reports and are investigating the whereabouts of village heads or ASN during the registration of prospective candidates,” said Central Java Bawaslu Commissioner Achmad Husain in Semarang, Saturday (31/8).
However, Husain could not yet detail which areas Bawaslu was investigating for alleged lack of neutrality by state officials.
There are three areas in the Central Java region where the 2024 Pilkada will experience cases of single candidates.
