Tunisian President Kais Saied headed to Mahdia Governorate, where he stopped first in the Ouled Saleh district, then in the Sidi Alwan delegation, and then in the village of Karkour, which is affiliated with the Boumerdes delegation.

The Tunisian president spoke, “to the citizens, especially about the continuous water outage and the reasons that led to this abnormal situation and the suffering it caused to the citizens.”

Kais Saied said in a video published by the Tunisian presidency: “Whoever believes that he is making these visits as part of his election campaign is mistaken in the title,” stressing that “everyone must participate in the process of liberating the homeland.”

Saied reiterated that “there are criminal networks that want to make the Tunisian people thirsty, and whoever wants to do so will pay the price.”

In a related context, Kais Saied said, in a meeting with Prime Minister Ahmed El-Hachani: “There are pockets of apostasy within the administration whose time has ended, in addition to their throwing themselves into the arms of lobbies.”

Saeed stressed that “the power and water cuts that are happening in a number of areas are a criminal act,” considering that “the electoral campaigns of some are criminal campaigns to attack the state and its civil peace.”

He added: “There are those who make false promises and whose only concern is to reach power, even over the corpses of Tunisians.”

It is noteworthy that Tunisian President Kais Saied had called on citizens on July 2 to hold presidential elections on October 6, after which the Independent High Authority for Elections announced on the 4th of the same month that accepting candidacy for the elections would begin on July 29 and continue until August 6.
