The head of government referred to a specific question from 24 HORAS, saying that he has met weekly with Clara Brugada to discuss different issues of relevance between both administrations, and he announced that in the next few days, without giving a specific date, both will be formalizing the transition.

Batres said that the next item on the agenda of the next mayor of the capital is the presentation of her Cabinet, which is scheduled to be announced next Monday, August 19.

“He will announce the formation of his government team and that will facilitate the entire formal transition process,” explained the head of the capital’s government.

Batres also said that the meetings held within the framework of the transition are going very well, as is the case with the same process, but at the federal level.

“There is a smooth transition, we are within the framework of the same Government, we share many years of joint experiences; this, although it is more personal, is still political,” he added about the talks with Brugada.

The head of government explained that he has known Clara Brugada for more than 20 years and that they have participated together in different struggles within the movement led by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, thus ensuring that they both share projects and above all the idea that “the Government has to have a social emphasis.”

When asked about the talks with the Secretary of Government, who will lead the transition from the current administration, Ricardo Ruiz told this newspaper that “all the commissions of the mayors’ offices have already been installed” and that the talks continue in a positive manner.
