jpnn.comBANDUNG – As many as two thousand personnel from the Bandung Police were deployed to secure the opening of the 2024 President’s Cup.
The opening of this pre-season tournament is planned to be held at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung Regency, Friday (19/7/2024).
Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Kusworo Wibowo said that personnel would be placed at several crucial points, such as the entrance and the main road to the stadium.
“We will look at the enthusiasm of the audience, but approximately two thousand personnel will be deployed, namely at ticketing and on the highway leading to the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, both on the route and on the… body checking and the closest second ring,” said Kusworo at the Bandung Police Headquarters, Soreang, Bandung Regency, Monday (15/7/2024).
The middle-ranking police officer revealed that the rules for supporters who come are the same as the League 1 competition last season.
Supporters of the opposing team are prohibited from attending the stadium, only home supporters are allowed to watch live.
“The rules for spectators are still the same as in League 1 yesterday, namely that only home team supporters are allowed to come to the stadium, while away team supporters can only watch on television or in the designated viewing area,” he explained.
Regarding the certainty of the presence of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who will open the President’s Cup tournament, Kusworo said that this was still waiting for confirmation from the center.
