INTERVIEW – For the president of France Invest, start-ups find funds to launch their activity. The situation is more complicated when they become more mature.

Bertrand Rambaud has been president since June of France Invest, the professional organization of private equity firms.

LE FIGARO. – How are the companies in which the private equity funds are investing doing?

Bertrand Rambaud. – They’re doing pretty well. The leaders are offensive, they have projects. They are aware that they must invest to meet the major energy and digital challenges. The general feeling is that the economy is doing well. Growth probably slowed down a bit between April and June, but we are not in a recession. However, wage pressure remains quite strong due to recruitment difficulties. But the main downside is linked to the real estate sector, which is in difficulty.

Leaders have long been resistant to the idea of ​​hosting funds. Is this still the case?

Some leaders still refuse to let a fund enter their capital, but overall, the image of the sector is good…
