They used to be good friends, really close, shared meals and what not. But at the beginning of 2022, the state’s publicist submitted, Rani Rahaba claim of approximately NIS 11 million against the businessman Adi Keizman who crossed to the United States together with his wife Esti Ginzburg.
According to the lawsuit, in June 2018 a loan agreement for 2 million euros was signed between Keizman andBaruch Ivcher, an Israeli businessman who operates in Peru. Rahab claims that he was Keizman’s “closest friend” and is Ivcher’s “closest friend in the world”, and therefore brokered the loan agreement “on a friendship basis only and without a business purpose”.
According to the loan agreement, Keizman had to return the money within 12 months from the date of receipt, with interest at the rate of 10% per year. “Kaizman did not return the loan to Evcher until November 30, 2019, the alleged payment date,” claims Rahav. According to Rahav, his demands were not met by Keizman, who claimed that “he is unable to repay the loan”.
It is also claimed in the lawsuit that in July 2020, Ivcher signed a notice according to which he transfers to Rahab all of his rights to implement the loan agreement, and that “any amount collected will be a gift from Ivcher to Ran Rahab, and this in respect of Ivcher’s closest true friendship with Ran Rahav over – 37 years.” Rahav claims in the lawsuit that “Kaizman is staying abroad these days and he practically fled the country with his wife Estee Ginzburg, in order to try and evade his various financial obligations to various parties in the amount of millions of shekels.”
McKaysman then stated in response: “The letter of claim shows that Rani Rahab is acting as the last of the collectors in the gray market who buy loans and work to collect them for the purpose of making profits. The reality is completely different from the one he presents and soon his true face, which I know so well and intimately, will be revealed to everyone.”
Rani Rahab, have you seen any of the money Kaysman owes you?
“Thank you, but I will not comment until the court’s decision.”
Keizman did not respond to Liora’s inquiries.
